Sporta members play leading role in SPELG and formation of IMPSA

Sporta Executive members Mark Sesnan (GLL) and Ian Kendall (OCLL) are leading members of the Skills Protocol Employers Leadership Group (SPELG) which produced a ground breaking report in may to define the basis for an improved landscape for skills in the sport and physical activity sectors.

The work of the Group has parallelled the  creation of the new Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (IMPSA) which is due to receive a Royal Charter later in 2011 - another recent sporta Executive member, Paddy Corcoran, sits on the IMPSA Board. Implementation of the new Institute, including joinig arrangments is now underway. SPELG have agreed to continue for another year to oversee these important new developments. Our Chairman, Craig McAteer, has expressed sporta' strong welcome an dsupport for these initiatives in the period ahead.
