Renfrewshire Leisure Ltd provide opportunities for the local community to enjoy a wide range of sports and leisure activities. Created for community benefit under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act with charitable status, RLL were transferred responsibility for operating Renfrewshire Council's indoor sports centres and swimming pools in January 2003. |

Renfrewshire Leisure Ltd aims to provide high quality leisure service that gives value for money and caters for all community groups to ensure social inclusion. Maintaining Charter Mark standards. Benchmarking the service networks to highlight and implement best practice. Provide a balanced programme which recognises the needs of the community and its customers. Expand new activity areas to create business expansion opportunities working in partnership with the other public, private and voluntary sector organisations to ensure that Renfrewshire Leisure excel in ensuring maximum financial return is achieved for reinvestment. Ensure quality standards are maintained and improved through external accreditation such as Charter Mark. Ensure staff are trained to deal with all customer requirements. Use sport as a focus for raising achievement, promoting inclusion and health benefits and achieving financial targets for the business. Ensure quality services are achieved. Supporting and developing the skills of our staff and continually improving leisure facilities. Undertake periodic strategic service and business reviews. |

Renfrewshire Council is investing £40 million in renewing and upgrading it's leisure stock by 2014. Among the developments will be investment in new facilities including two new swimming pools at Linwood and Johnstone with further investment in upgrading the Lagoon Leisure Centre with a new sports and leisure arena space, bigger fitness suite and spa area. Developing partnerships to increase attendance will be a further developemnt in 2010 onwards to realise efficiencies through shared services with social work adult day care centres at some locations and increased partnership working in reviewing policies to meet current strategic aims through such initiative and community sports hubs and after school programmes. |
