| Description |
We are associate members of SPORTA as we cannot currently offer leisure facilities. We are working towards re-opening Victoria Baths, a grade II* listed swimming pool and Turkish Baths complex, which was built 1903-06 and closed in 1993.Restoration Phase 1, which comprised external restoration of the front block of the building, was completed in 2008 and Restoration Phase 1+, the repair of the Gala Pool roof, was completed in 2010. We are working with Manchester City Council to establish the viability of re-opening the leisure facilities, in particular the unique Turkish Baths suite.Victoria Baths currently operates as a heritage visitor attraction. |
