Thanet Leisureforce Limited is different from most employers in the Leisure and Hospitality industry in that it is a workforce owned and controlled company.It is an independent "not for profit distributing" Society which is commonly known as an Industrial and Provident Society.This means that we are a fully commercial trading company but with the advantages of having charitable status with charitable aims.Thus it benefits the community.Thanet Leisureforce began trading on 1 November 1999, with two contracts providing both Leisure services along with Hospitality in a variety of leisure facilities and Catering and Entertainment venues previously operated by Thanet District CouncilThanet Leisureforce is run by a team of professional managers and its policies are overseen by a workforce controlled management board.It is the nature of our Society that receptionists, leisure attendants, catering and entertainment staff sit next to senior managers and co-opted members at board meetings to take important decisions affecting our multi-million pound business.The organisation is enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible, at the leading edge of Leisure and Hospitality in Thanet.It aspires to become a benchmark for others in quality Leisure and Hospitality provision and the company is accredited with IiP (Investers in People). |

Thanet Leisureforce Ltd. manages four divisions: hospitality, outdoor leisure, indoor leisure and childcare services.Hospitality includes catering, entertainments, conferences, exhibitions, banquets, outside catering, marriage ceremonies, meeting room hire, audio/visual hire and technical management services.Outdoor Leisure includes management of water safety, foreshore inspections, maintenance of benches and shelters, outdoor games pitches, chalet hire on fifteen bays.Childcare includes a 54 place daycare nursery for children aged 0 -5 and other childrens activities |

| Development Plans |
Currently upgrading facilities at our Hartsdown Leisure Centre which include a new 80 station gym,2 aerobic studios,a soft play area and the refurbishment of the sports hall and changing facilities.The £1.65M project is being undertaken by Createability and funded through Alliance Leisure.Future investment plans involve the refurbishment of the Winter Gardens with the launch of a Centinary Appeal and progressing the plans for a new pool in Ramsgate with Thanet Disrict Council. |
